Data Science Everyday
In this session, participants will explore the many ways data shapes our world and our classrooms. Together, we’ll define what data is, uncover where it shows up in everyday life, and examine how it can be both helpful and harmful. Educators will dive into integrated lesson ideas, discuss the data life cycle, and reflect on issues of security, privacy, and bias in data collection and analysis. By the end, participants will be better equipped to help students think critically about the role of data in society.

Backward Design for Computer Science Integration
This session investigates backward design as a planning technique for CS integrated lessons because of how this method aligns all parts of the lesson. This method provides students with fully connected lesson assessments, objectives, and activities, which builds their retention of the information and helps them make connections across disciplines more easily. Participants will explore existing lessons and resources to identify backward design elements and write a lesson sketch with these principles in mind.

Coaching: Giving Feedback on Integrated Lessons
This session empowers CS coaches to engage deeply with integrated lessons and guide their teams toward successful CS integration. Participants will explore a coaching framework that highlights the role of feedback and iteration, analyze sample lessons, and evaluate their own lesson plans. With opportunities to collaborate individually and in teams, coaches will leave with practical tools and strategies to provide meaningful feedback and foster continuous growth in computer science instruction.
