CodeVA's Investor Community.
Every teacher who walks into a classroom ready to teach computer science — with the right curriculum, the right training, and no bill attached — got there because someone invested in the infrastructure that made it possible.
That infrastructure is CodeVA. The Catalyst Network is how you keep it running.
What is the Catalyst Network
The Catalyst Network is CodeVA's individual giving program — a community of supporters who fund the free curriculum library, professional development, advocacy, and operational infrastructure that makes everything else CodeVA does possible.
It is not a grant. It is not a sponsorship. It is an unrestricted investment in the work — the kind that gives CodeVA the flexibility to build, adapt, and grow without a program officer's signature on every decision.
Catalyst Network supporters give at a level that works for them, on a schedule that works for them. Monthly giving is the foundation — it gives CodeVA the planning horizon to do the work well. One-time annual gifts are welcome too.
This is how you become part of the infrastructure.
Choose Your Level
All Catalyst Network supporters are recognized by giving tier. Monthly amounts are shown — annual equivalents are in parentheses.

What Your Investment Funds
Catalyst Network gifts are unrestricted — they go where the work needs them most. In practice, that means:
- The free curriculum library that thousands of educators use at no cost.
- Professional development delivered without charging teachers to attend.
- Advocacy that keeps CS education on the policy agenda for every student, regardless of school budget.
- The R&D and infrastructure that lets CodeVA build new programs without waiting for grant cycles to catch up.
Grants fund programs. The Catalyst Network funds the organization that runs them. That distinction matters more than it sounds.
CodeVA is focused on ensuring every child has the skills they need to design their digital future and build it.
It’s educators - classroom teachers, parents, afterschool program leaders, and tutors - who are the engine that makes CS learning possible.
To make sure every child has the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in our increasingly technology-driven world, CodeVA fuels that engine with:
- Learning events like micro:bit LIVE Virginia have empowered and supported over 1700 educators.
- A curriculum library accessed by 5,200+ Virginia educators, at no cost to them - this year.
- The cutting-edge research and development that creates new approaches.
- The advocacy work that opens doors statewide.
- The operational capacity that keeps it all running.
