Governor’s Datathon: Education 2019

The Equity in K-20 Education Datathon is a groundbreaking competition that will bring together multi-discipline teams comprised of individuals from government, higher education, private industry, and non-profits to take new and existing datasets and turn them into actionable information. That information will support the Commonwealth’s goal of using data and analytics to improve educational outcomes and promote equity. The event will also enable participants to gain a greater insight on the equity issue and potential actions. Equity or a lack thereof can be seen across a variety of topics within each education level: available opportunities, STEM/other classes being taught, finances, teacher quality, costs, outcomes and return on investment, etc. To learn more please visit: http://data.virginia.gov/
